For the application, click Web Image Monitor Details icon and use the information that appears in
"Certificate Details".
• The issuing location may not be displayed if you request two certificates at the same time. When you
install a certificate, be sure to check the certificate destination and installation procedure.
• Using Web Image Monitor, you can create the contents of the device certificate but you cannot send
the certificate application.
• Click [Cancel Request] to cancel the request for the device certificate.
Installing the Device Certificate (Issued by a Certificate Authority)
Install the device certificate using Web Image Monitor.
Use this procedure to install a device certificate issued by a certificate authority.
1. Open a Web browser.
2. Enter "http://(the machine's IP address or host name)/" in the address bar.
3. Click [Login].
The network administrator can log in.
Enter the login user name and login password.
4. Click [Configuration], and then click [Device Certificate] under "Security".
5. Click [Certificate1].
6. Click [Install].
7. Enter the contents of the device certificate.
In the certificate box, enter the details of the device certificate issued by the certificate authority.

8. Click [OK].
9. Wait a moment for the device to restart, and then click [OK].
"Installed" appears under "Certificate Status" to show that a device certificate for the machine has
been installed.
10. Click [OK].
11. Click [Logout].
• If a certificate authority issues a certificate that must be authenticated by an intermediate certificate
authority, and the certificate is installed on this machine, an intermediate certificate must be installed
on the client computer. If it is not, validation by the certificate authority will not be performed correctly,
and a warning message might appear when the destination user receives an e-mail with an S/MIME
