Verify that the main unit is properly attached to the mounting plate. Also, check the detector's wiring and the wiring of connected devices for any cable abnormalities like open circuits, disconnections, or short circuits.

  If your RKI Instruments Gas Detector reading rises (or drops for oxygen) and stays there, try performing a zero adjustment (AIR adjustment). The issue might also be due to the presence of interference gas; for actions such as installing a removal filter, please contact RKI. A very small amount of the gas to be detected may be leaking (slow leak), so take remedial measures the same as for a gas alarm. Environmental changes can also cause this issue, so perform a zero adjustment (AIR adjustment), especially because the galvanic cell type is affected by the air pressure.

  If your RKI Instruments Gas Detector shows a 'Flow Rate Warning FLOW', it might be caused by an unstable flow due to a deteriorated pump, in which case you should replace the pump unit as described on page 114. It could also be due to a clogged dust filter, so replace the dust filter as described on page 114. Check for bent or clogged inlet or exhaust lines and fix any defective parts. If there's a pressure difference in the sampling condition, you can disable the pump drive level diagnosis function. If the flow rate indicator is incorrect, this message may be displayed even if pressure difference is not present. If the flow sensor is malfunctioning, contact RKI to replace it.

  If your RKI Instruments Gas Detector is showing 'Sensor Unit Abnormalities E-1 SENSOR', check if the sensor unit is connected and that its connectors are securely fastened. If there are errors in communication with the sensor unit, replace the sensor unit as described on page 112. If zero drift caused by environmental changes or aging degradation cannot be corrected, perform a zero adjustment or replace the sensor unit as described on page 112. For ESU type sensors, replace the battery inside the sensor unit as described on page 112 if it is dead. If there are faults inside the sensor unit, replace the sensor unit as described on page 112.

  If your RKI Instruments Gas Detector displays 'Flow Rate Abnormalities E-5 FLOW', first remove the protective rubber caps from the GAS IN and GAS OUT fittings. If the pump unit is broken, replace it as described on page 114. For flow loss caused by a clogged dust filter, replace the dust filter as described on page 114. Also, check for bent or clogged inlet or exhaust tubes and fix the defective parts. If there is an open circuit or defective connection of the flow sensor, contact RKI.
