Wiring

Drive
This
chapter
describes
how
to
wire
the
SP500
drive
including:
input
wiring,
control
and
signal
wiring,
output
wiring,
and
grounding.
5.1.
Input
Power
Wiring
Use
the
following
steps
to
connect
AC
input
power
to
the
drive:
Step
1.
Verify that
the
AC
input
power
to
the
drive
corresponds
to
the
drives
nameplate
voltage
and
frequency.
Step
2.
Wire
the
AC
input
power
leads
by
routing
them
according
to
the
type
of
enclosure.
See
figures
4.1
through
4.4.
See
tables
3.2
through
3.4
for
recommended
wire
sizes.
ATTENTION:
Do
not
route
signal
and
control
wiring
with
power
wiring
in
the
same
conduit.
This
can
cause
interference
with
drive
operation.
Step
3.
Connect
the
AC
input
power
leads
to
terminals
R,S,T
on
the
power
terminal
strip.

5.1.
Step
4.
Tighten
terminals
R
and
S
(single-phase
input)
or
terminals
R,S,T
(three-
phase
input)
to
the
proper
torque
as
shown
in
table
3.5.
