Using the XPS-60 as a DAW controller
You can use the XPS-60 as a controller for your DAW software.
The XPS-60 provides various DAW control maps. Simply select the 
appropriate control map to apply the appropriate settings for the 
DAW software that you’re using.
MEMO
If you want to use the XPS-60 as a controller for your DAW 
software, set the USB Driver setting to “VENDOR”.
Controlling MainStage
Installing the Prole
Install the MainStage prole on your Mac.
1.  Download the prole from the product support 
page.
Access the following URL and download the prole.
https://www.roland.com/support/
2.  Decompress the downloaded ZIP le.
3.  Double-click “JUNO-D_MainStageProle_1.0.0.pkg”.
Installation begins.
4.  Proceed with installation as directed by the screen.
5.  When the message “Installation is completed” 
appears, click the [Close] button.
Controlling MainStage
1.  Use a USB cable to connect the XPS-60 to your Mac.
2.  Start MainStage.
3.  In MainStage, open the concert that you want to 
use.
4.  Press the [DAW CTRL] button to make it light.
A screen appears for selecting the DAW software to control.
5.  Move the cursor to “MainStage” and press the 
[ENTER] button.
MEMO
When you turn on the DAW CTRL function, there might be cases 
in which sound cannot be produced for a short time. This is due 
to the processing needed to load the Concert data for MainStage, 
and is not a malfunction.
6.  Operate the XPS-60 to control MainStage.

Controlling Mackie Control-compatibal 
software
1.  Use a USB cable to connect the XPS-60 to your Mac.
2.  Press the [DAW CTRL] button to make it light.
A screen appears for selecting the DAW software to control.
3.  Move the cursor to “Others” and press the [ENTER] 
button.
The DAW CONTROL setting screen appears.
4.  Move the cursor to “Control Map”, and use the value 
dial to select the DAW software that you’re using.
Controller Function
LOGIC When controlling Logic Pro.
CUBASE When controlling Cubase.
USER
Choose “USER” if your system cannot use the 
Mackie Control control surface.
You’ll be able to choose the MIDI messages that 
are transmitted when you press pads [1]–[8].
MEMO
If “USER” is selected, set the DAW software’s MIDI input/output 
port  to “JUNO-D”.
5.  As necessary, move the cursor to “Sync Out” or 
“Sync Mode”, and use the value dial to change the 
setting.
