Operating the menu (MENU)
1. Press the [MENU] button.
The MENU screen appears.

2. Move the cursor to the menu you want to edit, and
press the [ENTER] button.
* If you see another menu, repeat step 2.
3. On screens with more than one tab, switch between
the tabs with the [Í] [Ë] buttons.
MEMO
For details on the parameters for each menu, refer to the
“Parameter Guide” (Roland website).
4. Move the cursor to select the parameter that you
want to edit, and use the value dial to edit the
value.
5. When youre nished with the settings, save as
needed (p. 32).
NOTE
Never turn o the power while the screen indicates “Now
Writing....
Changing the auto-o settings
The power to this unit turns o automatically to save energy after a
certain amount of time (20 minutes by default) has passed since it
was last used or since its buttons or controls were operated.
* Note that when the setting is turned o, the unit may consume
more power.
NOTE
If the power automatically turns o, any unsaved data is lost.
Before the power turns o, save the data that you want to keep
(p. 32).
1. On the SYSTEM EDIT screen, move the cursor to
COMMON and press the [ENTER] button.
2. Move the cursor to Auto O in the COMMON” tab
page, and use the value dial to change the value.
* A conrmation message appears if you select “OFF” or “240min”. To
conrm, move the cursor to “OK” and press the [ENTER] button.

OFF
The power will not turn o
automatically.
20min
The power will automatically turn o
if no operation is performed for 20
minutes.
240min
The power will automatically turn o
if no operation is performed for 240
minutes (four hours).
3. While the SYSTEM EDIT screen is shown, press the
[WRITE] button.
4. Move the cursor to WRITE” and press the [ENTER]
button.
The screen indicates “Completed” when the settings are changed.
NOTE
Never turn o the power or remove the USB ash drives while the
screen indicates “Now Writing....
Setting the startup scene
Here are the steps for setting the scene that’s recalled on the top
screen when the instrument starts up.
1. On the SYSTEM EDIT screen, move the cursor to
COMMON and press the [ENTER] button.
2. On the “COMMON” tab page, move the cursor to
“Startup Scene” and select the startup scene using
the value dial.
3. While the SYSTEM EDIT screen is shown, press the
[WRITE] button.
4. Move the cursor to WRITE” and press the [ENTER]
button.
The screen indicates “Completed” when the settings are changed.
