The correct engine oil level is determined in two stages.
► Check engine oil level in cool condition.
It is checked whether there is enough engine oil for a test at oper-
ating temperature.
► Check engine oil level at operating temperature of the engine.
The precise engine oil level is checked.

► Position the portable pump on a flat, even surface.
► Start propulsion engine.
