The arium
®
pro system was designed to provide ASTM, NCCLS, ISO and USP-grade
water. Multi-stage purification methods purify pretreated water into ultrapure water
by distillation, deionization or reverse osmosis. This involves the use of purification
processes based on mixed-bed resins, activated carbon, and sterile filtration.
As the flow diagram on the next page shows, the feed water is pumped through two
ultrapure water cartridges connected in series. At the outlet of the second cartridge,
a conductivity-measuring cell performs permanent monitoring of the ultrapure
water quality (LFP).
To guarantee ultrapure water of consistent and high quality, the ultrapure water
purification system is constructed like a circulation ring. If no water is dispensed,
the water circulates through the ultrapure water cartridges. The last purification
step before dispensing is to run the water through a sterile final filter.
