First, check if the Start/Stop paddle was accidentally bumped and ensure it's in the OFF position before restarting. The material you're cutting, like green or wet wood, might be overloading the safety system, so try using different wood or switch to Bypass Mode. The safety system may have detected an error, so consult the System Status Codes. Check the electrical supply to ensure it's on and providing the correct voltage. Finally, the cartridge might be defective, so try a different one.

  If the blade hits the brake pawl during installation, the brake position may be too close to the blade. Turn the brake positioning bolt counter-clockwise until there is approximately 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch of space between the brake pawl and the blade. Also, ensure you are using the correct blade size: a 10-inch blade with a standard brake cartridge, or an 8-inch dado set with a dado cartridge.

Check that the blade is installed correctly. Finally, ensure the motor is correctly wired for the power supply and that the extension cord is the correct gauge, if one is being used.

Ensure these parts are clear of such materials and use Bypass Mode for cutting conductive materials. Alternatively, the spreader or riving knife might be misaligned and contacting the blade, so ensure proper alignment with a 4-7 mm gap. Also, ensure the blade isn't contacting the brake pawl.
