2.8 Battery Manager Module
The battery manager module performs AC and DC
voltage monitoring of the control panel, charging and
checking the batteries. It evaluates the measured results
and transmits messages to the master panel. The 4
RGB LEDs on it give feedback on the current status of
the system, numbered from left to right. If there is no
communication with any of the modules, it must be
replaced immediately, inform the service immediately.
Use the reset button to immediately delete errors to
speed up verification.
2.8.1 Battery charging
The maximum charging current is 4A, as long as the current consumption does not exceed
10A.
If charging started from below 21V, then up to 21V with 0.8A pulse, then between 21V<25.6V
with 3.8A, between 25.6V<28.2V with 3A, between 28.2V<28.8V with 0.8A.
If the battery is between 21V<25.2V, then by 4A to 28.8V, then current reduction to 100mA
until it drops back to 27V.
2.8.2 Battery protection
In case of supply failure, the control panel runs on battery power up to 21V, in which case a
low battery voltage warning event appears, if the AC voltage does not return within two minutes
the control panel will be disconnected.
The system starts only with AC voltage, not simply by connecting batteries.
2.8.3 Battery maintenance
Always follow the mandatory periodic discharge/charge cycles specified by the battery
manufacturer. During six-month maintenance, it is recommended to discharge the batteries by
at least 30% and then check when recharging has started. During the timed battery test, the
voltage values measured at the beginning and end of the test can be read from the events. In
case of asymmetry failure, replace both batteries.
