2.10.5 RS485 Network Connection
In case of multiple centrals, it is possible to connect a network interface with RS485 ring
topology. Up to 32 panels can be connected in a main-sub-panel relationship. The distance
between the panels can be 1200m, the max. total cable length is 10km. Each control panel is
connected to the network through its two neighbors, so it remains connected even in the event
of a single cable failure. Recommended cable type: LiYCY-TP 1x2x0.5. The shielding should
always be connected only on one side between two panels. Both PBX and PBX can forward
group messages to other panels. Computer connections are still made via TCP/IP through the
main panel.
