 Set CLASS to 0 because we want to operate in polled-static mode. If we wanted to have
event data available, we would have set this to the class we wanted event data available
in.
Set default variation to 16 in case master device does not support 32-bit variations.
! Set DL_CONFIRM to 0 because we assume a high reliability link. If we thought errors
were probable, we would set this to a non-zero value and specify a data-link time-out
using the DL_TIMEOUT setting.
