Engine Oil Level Check
◆
Park the vehicle on a level ground. Wait at least 5
minutes to allow the oil to fl ow back to the bottom of
the engine.
◆
Remove the oil dipstick.
◆
Wipe the oil dipstick clean.
◆
Reinsert completely.
◆
Remove the oil dipstick and check the oil level.
Check the oil level as shown in the fi gure below:
The oil level is between the Upper Level

and the
Lower Level
【

】
. It is the proper oil level. If the oil level
is below the Lower Level then add oil. If the oil level
is above the Upper Level then there is too much oil.
Engine operation with too little or too much oil will cause
damage.

Oil fi ller cap
◆
After cleaning the oil dipstick, fully insert it again.
◆
If the oil level is near or below the lower level mark,
remove the seat (see body part) . Remove the oil fi ll
cap

from the front right crankcase cover and
add the specifi ed oil into the fi ll cap hole, up to the
upper level mark on the dipstick.
◆
Reinstall the oil fi ll cap and dipstick.
◆
Install the tank cover assembly.
◆
Install the seat.
!
CAUTION
Running the engine with an improper oil level can cause
serious engine damage.
