IMPORTANT
Detachallcablesfromthewheel(e.g.lightingcables),otherwise you
could tear them.
If your bike is fitted with rim brakes it is sensible to release
them before you remove the front wheel. Otherwise you
may not be able to remove the front wheel.
4. Remove the front wheel.
Replacing the front wheel
1. Insert the wheel into the front fork ends.
2. Gently turn the adjustment nut on the
quick-release skewer in a clockwise
direction.
3. Close the quick-release skewer by
swinging the lever back 180˚.
You will now usually be able to see the
word ‘CLOSE’ on the outside of the
lever.

tousetheballofyourhand(120N:correspondstoaweightforceof
12kg).Youshouldhavethemarkoftheleverimprintedonyourhand.
Otherwise it could open when you are cycling, which could lead to the
wheel becoming loose and cause you to fall.

Swing the quick-release skewer closed again.
4.
Repeat if necessary.

Swing the quick-release skewer closed again.
4.
Repeat if necessary.
Quick-release skewers cannot be closed by simply turning
the lever.
DANGER
Ifyouhavereleasedtherimbrakestoremovethewheel,youmust
closethemagain, otherwise you will not be able to brake and run the
risk of serious injury.
