CAUTION
Batteriesmustnotbeimmersedinwater.This presents a risk of
explosion. Do not extinguish a burning battery with water, only the
surrounding burning material. Fire extinguishers with metal re
powder (Class D) are more suitable. If it is possible to take the battery
safely outside, smother the re with sand. But you need not be afraid
of the battery exploding under you when you ride the cycle through
rain. The battery is sealed to prevent moisture and spray water from
entering.
IMPORTANT
Donotspraythebatterywithawaterhoseorwashitwithahigh-
pressure cleaner. Damage to the battery may still result even though
the components are sealed. Clean the battery with a soft, damp cloth.
Donotuseanycleanerswhichcontainalcoholorsolvent,orwhich
scour.Nocoarsespongesorbrushesmaybeusedeither.They leave
scratches and cause the surface to become matt. Clean the battery
with a soft, damp cloth.
Donotallowdirttodryout.It is best to clean the battery
immediately after your ride.
1. Remove the battery from the pedelec.
2. Clean the casing with a slightly damp, soft cloth.
3. If the battery terminals are dirty, clean them with a dry, soft cloth.

ofaresponsibleperson.Otherwise there is a risk of mishandling with
consequential very serious injuries.
