Using the Sample Manager or the SIQ or manual gate, the operator places
the capped sample tube on the automation system.
• The sample tube arrives at the Centrifuge divert gate, where the bar
code reader identifies the sample tube bar code as a sample to be
centrifuged.
• The divert gate diverts the sample tube to the side track.
• The sample tube moves to the Centrifuge interface gate.

CAUTION
Do not load glass sample tubes or unsupported sample tube sizes in
Sample Manager trays for processing at the Centrifuge module. Routing a
glass or incorrect sample tube size to the Centrifuge module can result in
breakage, spilled sample, contamination, and system damage. Use only
tubes listed in Appendix C, Specifications.
