Programs – Using other programs
The application "Programs" provides an interface to
extend your optiPoint application module with Java
midlets.
Java midlets are small programs that are executed local-
ly in the optiPoint application module and can be used
to provide various functions.
These may include applications with e.g. notepad, cal-
culator or phone directory functions.
General operation
Double-click the "Programs" icon on the start page
Æ Page 9 to start the application.
The "Java Midlets" dialog is displayed.
The context menu offers the following menu items in
this view:
• Delete Entry: Deletes the selected Java midlet, see
Æ Page 47.
• Delete All: Deletes all Java midlets in the list, see
Æ Page 47.
• Web Settings: To define the HTTP Proxy parame-
ters for HTTP services used in a Midlet.
• Add Midlet: Adds a midlet by downloading, see
Æ Page 44.
