Guidance for reading the operation instructions
The operational steps of the device are represented graphically in a logical
sequence in the left column. The representations have the following
meanings:
n Lift handset.
t Replace handset.
s Conduct conversion.
t Press key on the optiPoint application module.
Instructions for intuitive operation
Context Menu
The context menu provides all main functions for the currently selected
application. You should therefore get familiar with the context menu in
particular (e.g. the context menu can be invoked by pressing the
k key).
Softkeys
All applications and function can be selected by "clicking" the softkeys on
the touch screen with the plastic pen provided Æ Page 9.
Hotkeys
Many important and often used applications and functions can be
accessed directly by pressing one of the hotkeys Æ Page 13.
e.g.
d Opens the display keyboard, see Æ Page 14.
Navi-Key
Use the keys
r and s to scroll line by line within an application.
Use the keys
p and q to move the cursor left or right within a field.
t Use the key
t
in the sytem or administration bar to confirm the active
application (e.g. highlighted in yellow).
In many cases there is more than one option for performing the
same operation.
For reasons of transparency, not all the possibilities are described in
this document.
