6.1 Opening the device

1. Loosen all indicated M4x16 screws (the screws are captive in the covers).
Damaging the seal when opening
If the device has not been opened for a long time, the backplane cover and terminal
compartment cover may stick to the enclosure caused by the seal. Opening the device
with excessive force or with tools will destroy the seal. Spray and water jets as well as
penetrating substances can then damage the device.
Open the backplane cover and connection compartment cover gently, without too much
pressure.
2. Open the connection compartment cover ② and set it safely aside. (see also section
"Connecting a device", "Power supply PRO device (Page 88)").
3. Open the backplane cover
①, gently open it 90° upwards and place it on the edge of the
enclosure, as shown below.
