Securing cables on the built-in unit
On the rear panel of the device are attachment eyelets for cable ties used for strain relief of
the following cables:
● 24 VDC power supply cable
● RS-232 cable
● USB cable
The following figure shows the position of the attachment eyelets for each cable tie using the
IPC477D 12" display as an example. The position of the attachement eyelets is the same for
all device variants.
Requirement
● The device is installed.
● The device is connected.
Procedure
Attach all cables that cannot be secured with the strain relief according to section "Attaching
PROFINET strain relief (Page 100)" to one attachment eyelet.
1.
Secure the connecting cable to the
nearest attachment eyelet with a
cable tie.
2.
Cut off the protruding cable tie
tongue.
