Configure Linux
Requirement
You have root privileges.
Linux configuration
To establish a routed TCP/IP connection, activate "packet forwarding". Enter the following
command line:
sysctl -w net.ipv4.ip_forward=1

Settings are lost after restart
The settings are lost after a restart.
To save the setting, convert the following line in the
"/etc/sysctl.conf" file to comment:
To convert the line to comm
ent, remove the "#" character in front of the line.
To check the status of "packet forwarding", enter the following command:
sysctl -n net.ipv4.ip_forward
Result
You can establish a connection to the CPU via the runtime communication interface
(192.168.73.155).

Configuring the Client PC
To establish a remote connection from an external PC to the OPC UA server or the Web
server, make additional settings on the external PC. The settings depend on the operating
system used on the client PC.
