7.3 Backup and Restore Tool
Once you have configured the computer for your application, you can create an image of
your system. You can use this image to restore your user-specific application to your system
at a later time, if necessary.
You should back up an image of your configuration for these reasons:
To save a fixed intermediate status of the configuration.
Create a backup of the current configuration in case of hardware problems and when the
PC must be replaced.
Create a master image to download the configuration to other PCs.
With the Backup and Restore Tool, you can manage backups on a USB restore stick and
Restore the base image on the CFast card.
To start the Backup and Restore Tool, select the USB restore stick as the boot device from
the Boot menu.

The Backup and Restore Tool is started with the command "./s7_restore_tool".
