Chapter 1 Prior to use
1.2 Remove packaging materials from the Machine
There are packaging materials strips of tape and cushions to hold the moving parts of the Silhouette CURIO2 in
place during shipment to prevent any damage to the machine.
Remove all of the packaging materials (strips of tape and cushions).
 1. Take the Silhouette CURIO2 from the box.

BesuretoleaveenoughandstablespacearoundtheSilhouetteCURIO2duringpackingand
unpackingofthismachine.Attemptingtoworkonunstablegroundwithouttwoormorepeople
cancausethemachinetofallandcauseseriousinjurytopersonnel.
 2. Remove the strips of tape (Blue) that are holding any parts for machine in place.
Remove the two cushions (1) and (2) that are holding the Y-bar.

 3. Remove the two cushions (3) and (4) that are holding the bar.
Next, slide the Tool Carriage slightly to right side. Remove the cushion (5) that is xed with tape.

donotholdtheToolHolderwithyourhandorngers.
Turnoffthepower,holdthepartshownontheright,and
moveitslowly.Movingittoofastmaycauseamalfunction.
