This section describes the single channel and single channel plus paging audio systems. The term
Single Channel Audio refers to the audio capability of the system.
A Single Channel Audio system has the ability to play pre-recorded messages or live audio
messages, but it cannot do both at one time. For example, suppose the building’s audio
system is divided into eight groups, each of which represents a floor of the building. A single
channel audio system can play a pre-recorded message or live audio one floor at a time.
