8.2.5 Check options
Check functionality of emergency lowering device,
quick adjustment
Ensure that there is no excessive application of force, extremely
slick movement (independent downward movement of the actua-
tor after opening the release handle) under nominal load
( Chapter “Operation Operate Emergency Lowering Device,
“Operate Quick Adjustment”).
Check functionality for electrical pinch protection
Ensure that the gear pin (1) is lifted in the backload direction to
turn off the actuator.

Note!
Inform the manufacturer in case of damage or
malfunction.
8.3 Measures after completed
maintenance
Upon completion of the maintenance work, the following steps have
been executed prior to restarting the device.
1 Check all previously loosened screw connections for a tight fit.
2 Ensure that all used tools, materials and other equipment have
been removed from the work area.
3 Clean work area and remove potential spills such as e. g. liquids,
processing material or similar.
4 Ensure that all safety measures of the system work without a
problem.
5 Check functions.
6 Document the inspections in the service log.
