18. Troubleshooting chart
Symptom Possible Cause Remedy
Alarm message:
High Pressure
Proximal pressure exceeds 15.5mbar.
Nasal prongs blocked
Filters occluded with water.
Exhaust tube blocked.
Check patient connection.
Check patient circuit.
Alarm message:
No Air Supply
Air supply is too low (<2.0 bar) to
assure normal operation.
Check wall connection. Ensure air pressure is
between 2 and 7 bar.
Alarm message:
No Oxygen Supply
Oxygen supply is too low (<2.0 bar) to
assure normal operation.
Check wall connection. Ensure oxygen pressure is
between 2 and 7 bar.
Alarm message:
High Leak
Unable to attain set CPAP level, and
flow has reached maximum level.
Possibly the circuit or patient interface
has become disconnected.
Flow mode selected without alarm
thresholds being set.
Check patient connection.
Check patient circuit.
Set alarm threshold.
Alarm message:
Zero Pressure
MAP drops to zero
Proximal pressure tube disconnected Check patient connection.
Check patient circuit.
Check bacterial filter.
Alarm message:
Exhaust Impeded
Pressure exceeds set CPAP, and flow
has reached minimum level.
Exhaust tube blocked.
Flow mode selected without alarm
thresholds being set.
Check patient circuit
Set alarm threshold.
