5 Electrical connections
5.1 Safety instructions
This topic describes the electrical connections of the inverter
HYD 5/6/8/10/15/20KTL-3PH. Read this section thoroughly and
carefully before connecting the cables.
DANGER
Electrical voltage at the DC connections
 Ensure that the DC switch is OFF before establishing the
electrical connection. The reason is that the electrical
charge remains in the capacitor after the DC switch has
been switched off. Therefore, at least 5 minutes must
lapse before the capacitor has been electrically
discharged.

Electrical voltage
 PV modules generate electrical energy when exposed to
sunlight, and this may present an electrical shock
hazard. Therefore, cover the PV modules with an
opaque sheet before connecting to the DC input power
cable.
DANGER
Electrical voltage at the DC connections

Wear rubber gloves and protective clothing (safety
goggles and boots) when working on high voltage/high
current systems such as inverter and battery systems.
ATTENTION
Qualification

The installation and maintenance of the inverter must
be carried out by an electrician.
