Receiving email
You must download email messages from the
Internet email server or your office. Do this
manually by using the
Get & send option on
the More menu or automatically by setting
your phone to check for new email at certain
intervals.
If you have a special IMAP account, you can
automatically receive messages from your
server. This service depends on your email
service provider.
When forwarding an email message, you can
choose whether to forward the attachment.
Large attachments increase the size of an
email message and the connection time needed
to send it.
You can choose not to receive large messages
and only download headers.
To view the body of an HTML-mail message
with MHTML-formatting, select
More >
Settings > Display MHTML
. To fit the text to
the screen's width, select
Messaging >
Settings > Always fit to screen.
You will see the message priority in the
different inboxes.
To view an attachment, you must have a
viewer that can read its file type. Your phone
comes with pre-installed viewers for
Microsoft® Word, Excel®, PowerPoint®, and
Adobe® Acrobat® files.
Deleting email
You can delete messages both locally and from
your email server. When you delete messages
locally, the message body and attachments are
deleted, while the header remains. You can
download the entire message again using the
Get & send option. When you delete the
message from your server, it is deleted from
both your phone and the server.
