MIDlet Settings
An MIDlet suite is a Java® application
package. Sometimes MIDlets may attempt to
initiate actions that require your permission.
They include:
• Opening a connection.
• Automatically starting the MIDlet in
response to an incoming connection.
• Sending an SMS.
An
MIDlet permission request dialog displays
to allow you to accept or deny the request,
which sometiimes involve privacy or network
charges.
Select
Tools > Control panel > Security to
access the two applications from which you
enter MIDlet settings;
MIDlet accounts and
MIDlet permissions.
MIDlet accounts
You can associate an MIDlet Suite with a
particular Internet account. In
MIDlet
accounts
, the currently installed MIDlet
Suites are listed. You can change the Internet
account of an MIDlet Suite by selecting
MIDlet accounts, then choosing one of the
Internet or VPN accounts set up in your phone.
MIDlet permissions
In MIDlet permissions, you can set the
conditions under which an MIDlet Suite
requests permission to initiate a certain action.
You can change an MIDlet Suite permission
by selecting it, then modifying the
User
permissions
and how you want the phone to
respond to the modified user permission (the
Interaction mode).
VPN Accounts
A Virtual Private Network (VPN) offers a
secure way to provide access to an
organization's network over the Internet.
Select
Tools > Control panel > Security > VPN
Accounts
to create a VPN account.

Language
To change your phone's display language,
select a different language from the list. Its
current language is highlighted. You can
delete all languages, except English.
