To save these settings, you must enter a valid
PIN2 code, provided by your mobile network
operator.
Note: The Call meter service does not work
when you roam to a network that does not
provide charging information.
Connections
The settings in Connections control how your
phone communicates with other devices.
Bluetooth® Wireless
Technology
Select Tools > Control panel > Connections >
Bluetooth
to enter Bluetooth settings and
connect to other Bluetooth devices.
Note: Only connect to trusted devices.
For all tasks, except for a single file transfer,
you must set up a permanent and trusted
relationship between your phone and the other
device. This is called pairing (or bonding).
Paired devices are remembered by your phone,
making it unnecessary to pair with them again.
This simplifies future connections and makes
them secure because paired devices have
already authenticated each other.
Settings tab
This is where you enter all Bluetooth settings
for your phone.
My phone name – enter the name you
want displayed when your phone is
presented to other Bluetooth devices.
Bluetooth on – activates Bluetooth.
Visible to other devices – makes it
possible for other Bluetooth devices to
find your phone.
Enable power save – saves power by
limiting your phone's activity. Your phone
will no longer accept requests for
additional connections from other
Bluetooth devices after it has already
established a Bluetooth connection, but it
can still discover other Bluetooth devices
and request connections to them.
Devices tab
This is a list of all the devices your phone has
paired with, even if they are not Bluetooth-
activated or in range.
Pairing with a device
Select New device to pair with a new device.
The phone will then search for visible
Bluetooth devices in range. To pair with one of
the devices, select it in the list, then, if
requested, enter the passcode (also called
passkey).
If you are pairing with a Bluetooth headset, the
headset may have auto pairing functionality.
