Problems on Functions
• Input video is not
displayed.
• Video does not
change even when the
M/E button row is
pressed.
Check whether the displayed output video is PREVIEW output or CLEAN output video. If AUX output
video is displayed, check the assignment of output video with the AUX menu.
Check the lighting status of the M/E button row and the right-end SHIFT button to see if button is
correctly selected.
Press the INPUT button and check whether the button row assignment has been changed from the
Input Remap menu.
Press the INPUT button and check whether the freeze mode is set to LIVE from the “Input Remap”
menu.
Press the INPUT button and check whether the input process amplifier setting has been changed
from the Input Process 1, 2 menu.
Confirm that the image (including characters) registered by KEY 1 to KEY 4 and DSK1/DSK 2 is not
superimposed on the displayed output video. Press the KEY1 to 4 button and the DSK1, 2 button in
the transition block to light them. When they are lit red, transition them and clear the setting.
Confirm that BLACK TRANS is disabled. When the BLACK TRANS button in the transition block is lit
orange, press the BLACK TRANS button to clear the setting.
When AUX output video of expansion option is displayed, check whether the up-conversion setting is
correct. Similarly when AUX input video of expansion option is displayed, check whether the
upconversion setting is correct.
Symptom Action
• No key is displayed.
• Key transition is not
enabled.
Check whether the KEY SOURCE and KEY INSERT settings are correct. Also check whether the
DME mode (with KEY / without KEY) setting is correct with the KEYER menu.
Check whether invisible position and size are set with DME in the KEYER menu. The DME
parameter is also changed when preset DME transition is made. Reset the DME parameter or make
DME transition.
Confirm that the current made is not the transition preview mode.
The DME transaction
button is pressed, but no
response is returned.
Check whether the number of DME channels has not reached the upper limit. The number of DME
channels is displayed in “Now Using DMEs= ” according to the number of additional expansion
option DME boards.
(2: No additional DME board / 4: One additional DME board / 6: Two additional DME boards) The
number of DME channels can be enabled within the displayed number.
• Stills cannot be
downloaded.
• Stills are downloaded
to a place different
from the setting.
Check whether the download destination was changed during download of stills. Do not change the
download destination until the USER/STILL button lights orange.
Editor is connected, but
it does not work.
Check whether the EDITOR button of BKDF-901/902 is lit. If it is not lit, press the EDITOR button to
light it.
Check whether the communication settings are correct. Press the SYSTEM button and check
whether the communication protocol, baud rate, and parity bit settings are correct from the Serial
menu.
