Connection Example 3: Connection to a Device Equipped with a DVI (DVI-I)
Connector
You can use the optional BKDF-912 2 DVI Input Board or the optional
BKDF-962 2 DVI Output Board to connect the switcher to a computer or other
device equipped with a DVI-I connector. The digital signals of the DVI-I
connector are compatible with the digital output signals of the HDMI standard,
and analog output signals are compatible with the analog signals of the HD15
(high-density 15-pin D-Sub) standard. You can use conversion cables and
adaptors to connect them to devices equipped with HDMI or HD15 connectors.
When you input video signals from the HDMI connectors to the switcher, the
switcher can receive only progressive video signals. The switcher cannot
process the video signals copy-protected by HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital
Content Protection).
If you selected “HDTV” for the DVI output signals (page 94), color difference
component signals (Y/P
b
/P
r
) are output from the analog signal output
connectors of the BKDF-962. For details about the pin assignment of the
BKDF-962 connector, see page 213.
