Cleaning
7. Replacing the reel motor (T) assembly
(1) Remove the two screws (
a
,
b
) securing the
slide shaft and remove the reel motor (T)
assembly.
(2) Extract the slide shaft from the reel motor (T)
assembly.
(3) Wipe the shaded portion in the figure with a
cleaning cloth moistened with cleaning fluid.
(4) Apply grease about the quarter size of a tip of
a cotton swab, to the center of the shaded
portion.
(5) Wipe the slide shaft with dry cloth such as
gauze, and then insert it in a hole of a new
reel motor T assembly.

Use extreme care not to scratch the shaft and
hole during extracting and inserting opera-
tion.
(6) Insert a shaft located on the back side of the
reel motor (T) assembly in the slot in the RS
plate assembly.
(7) Insert the flexible card wire in the square hole
in the MD chassis.
(8) Tighten the screw

the slide shaft.
Tightening Torque : 0.1 N.m {1 kgf.cm}
