3-2-3. Output phase difference
The output phase difference of the MJ100/110 changes
continuously from the minimum phase difference (100 ns
for the MJ100; 1 us for the MJ110) at a width of N X 100 ns
(N: integer) according to the travel speed of the scale. Refer
to Fig. 3-2 for the definition of phase difference.
Note
. Since the minimum phase difference of the MJ100 is so
short, the connected receiving device may not be able to
receive it.
Be sure to use a travel speed for the scale that the
receiver is able to handle.
. With MJ110 open collector output, the minimum phase
difference may vary depending on the cable length and
load resistance.
The MJ110’s minimum phase difference of 1 us is the
minimum phase difference for when an alarm is output.
With an output cable length of 30 m and a load resistance
of 50 mA, the transistors may not be able to comply under
a phase difference of approximately 2 us.
3-2-4. Direction switching
It is possible to change the phase relationship of A/B phase
output versus the direction of movement of the scale by
switching MODE switch 5.
Note
The phase relationship of the MJ100’s U/V/W phase does
not change even when MODE switch 5 is switched.
