DISPLAY OUTPUT
LCD PANEL, ALL
OUTPUT
Sets the output to display information, such as
the timecode.
You can select to display information on the
LCD screen only, or output the information to
the VIDEO OUT, HDMI OUT jacks and the
LCD screen. Zebra, peaking and the frame on
the face are also output.
During marker display, only the timecode,
zebra, peaking, and face detection indicators
are output, even if [DISPLAY OUTPUT] is
set to [ALL OUTPUT].

TC/UB DISPLAY
TC, U-BIT Switches the display to timecode or user bits.
TC PRESET
PRESET, RESET Sets the timecode (p. 58).
UB PRESET
PRESET, RESET Sets the user bits (p. 59).
TC FORMAT
DF, NDF Switches the timecode recording method when
[60i] is selected. The timecode is fixed to
[NDF] when [50i] is selected.
DF: Records the timecode in drop frame.
NDF: Records the timecode in non-drop frame.
The timecode is also fixed to [NDF] (when
[60i] is selected) when the frame rate is set to
24 in [REC FORMAT].
Drop-frame
Timecode is based on 30 frames per second;
however, gaps in the actual time occur during
extended periods of recording as the actual
frame frequency of NTSC image signals is
29.97 frames per second. Drop frame corrects
this gap to make timecode and actual time
equal. In drop frame, the first 2 frame
numbers are removed every minute except in
every tenth minute. Timecode without this
correction is called non-drop frame.
