Using Network Functions
Using the streaming
function (STREAMING)
You can connect the camcorder to a
network and stream a movie in real-time to
external devices.
b Note
• Camcorder streaming uses MPEG2-TS/UDP
transport stream. To view the streamed video
and audio, use devices that supports this
transport stream format. For details, refer to the
instruction manuals of each device.
There are limitations on the size of the
original file movie and the streaming
movie.
For details, see “Streaming, RTMP/
RTMPS, and USTREAM supported
formats” (p. 153).
You configure streaming settings and
register them using PRESET beforehand to
distribute a stream using those settings.
The following items can be configured.
SIZE
Select the image size for streaming.
– 1280×720
– 640×360
z Tip
• Select a size of “640×360” for increased
streaming distribution stability.
DESTINATION SET
Configure the streaming distribution
destination.
– Host Name: IP address or host name of
the receiver
– Port: Port number used for streaming on
the receiver

1 Configure the basic network
settings (p. 77, 82).
2 Press the MENU button.
3 Select (NETWORK SET) t
[STREAMING] t desired

to the shooting screen.
You can distribute a stream of the movie,
while shooting, using the connected
network.
