Loading the rotor
Maximum loading
Overloading can result in destruc-
tion and severe damage to the cen-
trifuge.
The Legend™ can reach high rotational speeds im-
plying enormous centrifugal force. The rotors are
designed in a way warranting sufficient residual
strength even at the highest permissible speed.
However, this safety system presupposes that the
maximum permissible load of the rotor is not ex-
ceeded.
Please note the data about the
maximum permissible loads and
maximum speeds in chapter
"Rotor and accessories".
If you wish to centrifuge samples that together with
the adapters exceed the maximum permissible load,
you must either reduce the sample volume or calcu-
late the permissible speed n
perm
according to the
following formula:
n
perm
n= ∗
