Liquids and especially organic sol-
vents should not come into contact
with the drive shaft and the ball
bearing during cleaning.
Organic solvents can decompose
the lubricant of the motor bearing.
The drive shaft may block.
Refrigerated instruments:
If a strong ice sheet is present in the
chamber, be sure to dry all condensate
after defrosting.
Disinfection
If a centrifuge tube containing infectious material
leaks during a run, you have to disinfect the centri-
fuge immediately.
Infectious material could enter the centri-
fuge if spills or tube breakage occur!
Danger of infection may occur upon con-
tact!
Take appropriate personal protective
measures!
Comply with the permissible filling vol-
umes and loading limits for the tubes!
In case of contamination the operator has
to make sure, that no further persons are
threatened.
Contaminated parts have to be
decontaminated immediately.
If required further protective measures
have to be initiated.
Rotor and rotor chamber must be treated with a neu-
tral, universal disinfectant. Best suited for this pur-
pose are disinfectant sprays, which ensure that all
rotor and accessory surfaces are covered evenly.
