All of the measurement method use an acceleration voltage of 50 kV.
This excitation is a filtered one. The only exception is the analysis of
light elements for which 15 kV must be set. This excitation is an
unfiltered one.
Depending on the sample composition, different current intensities are
adjusted. At 50 kV, it may be up to 50 µA.
For metals, these values are clearly below the maximum parameters.
For a standard steel sample (e.g. stainless steel 304), the values are
21 µA and 50kV.
The dose rate values of the following examples were performed with a filtered
excitation, once with the typical 21 µA for metal samples and once with the
maximum current of 50 µA, in both cases at 50 kV.
