Measurement example: approximate analysis/overview analysis
To perform the measurement, proceed as follows:
1. Open the "Profile" menu to call up a program for approximate analyses.
2. Hold the unit with the protective sleeve on the sample in such a way that the
sample is located directly on the cover plate of the measuring window and
that the sample sensor enables the measurement (if activated).
3. Press the "Start measurement" button and (if necessary) the enable button
during the entire measurement.
The measurement is carried out automatically.
If necessary, the unit will ask you to carry out an ICALization, see page
50.
Ensure that the position of the protective sleeve and of the sample with
regard to each other does not change. A change in position may lead to
incorrect measurement results.
The measurement is terminated automatically after the preset measuring
period.
The measurement results are updated on the screen every two seconds.
If you release the "Start measurement" before the first results are
displayed, the system assumes that an error has occurred. As a
consequence, it will abort the measurement and display an error
message.
If you release the "Start measurement" button after the first results have
been displayed, the system assumes that you have intentionally stopped
the measurement. The result of the stopped measurement will be
displayed. Please taken into consideration, that the system will display
only those elements that have actually been measured up to this
moment.
The measurement is now complete.
