The status of the unit is continuously monitored. If necessary, you will be
asked to perform an ICALization.
Measure a reference sample at regular intervals. This will allow you to identify
changes of the measurement results early enough.
Measurement example: identity check
To perform the measurement, proceed as follows:
1. Open the "Profile" menu to call up a program for the identity check.
2. First measure a reference sample three times in succession.
Hold the unit with the protective sleeve on the sample in such a way that
the sample is located directly on the cover plate of the measuring window
and that the sample sensor enables the measurement (if activated).
Press the "Start measurement" button and, if necessary, the enable
button during the entire measurement.
The measurement is carried out automatically.
The measurement is terminated automatically.
If the second measurement is completed and the measurement result is
not OK, an error message will be displayed in red. The measurement
must be repeated. The third measurement must be performed in the
same way.
If the result is good, the counter on the screen for good samples adds
one point to its count (depending on program settings).
3. Now measure the desired sample.
If the result is good, the counter on the screen for good samples adds
one point to its count. The next sample can be measured.
If the result is bad, the "Fail" counter on the screen adds one point to its
count.
Depending on the program settings, the measurement must be
repeated twice before the "Fail" counter is incremented. If these
repeated measurements fail as well, the "Fail" counter on the screen
will be incremented by one point.
The next sample can be measured.
The measurement is now complete.
