7 Maintenance by the operator

I
n order to ensure the availability and operational safety of the equipment, we
recommend having the system checked for correct operation and performance at
least once per year by specialized technicians. You can find the contact addresses

ganizations that are authorized by SPECTRO at

7.1 Operator maintenance plan

-ray tube is provided inside the unit.
Carry out only
the operator maintenance work described in this chapter. Any
further main
tenance work by the operating personnel is not allowed. Any further
maintenance work (e.g. technical maintenance) or repair may only be performed
by service personnel authorized by the manufacturer.
The maintenance intervals specified in the following table are guidelines which
should be observed as a minimum requirement. The maintenance intervals may
vary, depending on the use of the unit.
To ensure flawless unit function, carry out the following maintenance work:
Daily operator maintenance work
Visual inspection Check the condition and fit of the protective
sleeve.
Check the condition of the protective film
and replace it if necessary (see page 50).
