7.2 Standardization of the instrument (ICALization)
Note
The standardization, which we also call ICALization, also includes the energy
-
channel recalibration (MCA) that
is necessary for the XRF analysis.
The shutter is automatically measured on the inside to perform a standardization.
An additional ICALization sample is not required.
Proceed as follows to standardize the unit:
1. Connect the unit to the docking station or press the unit against the radiation
protection plate or against the radiation protection shield.
