The values in brackets are the values for the method for the analysis of metallic samples.
The first values in the cells stand for the measurement with maximum parameters.
These values underline why - for the protection against radiation - the docking
station or the radiation protection shield should always be used for non-metallic
samples. In addition, it becomes very clear that the users must not hold the
samples in their hand during the measurement. The non-metallic samples show
that the sample thickness has an influence on the values that are measured at the
user button. If the sample is not completely enclosed in the protective sleeve (i.e. if
the sample thickness is above 10 mm and if the diameter is greater than
approximately 30 mm), the measured values are higher than 1 µSv/h.
