3.3. Paper Specifications
3.3.1. Thermal Roll Paper
(1) Paper Width: 45 ±0.5 (mm) to 82.5 ±0.5 (mm)
Notes: Absolutely never change paper types while in use.
(2) Paper Thickness: 65 µm to 150 µm
Note that depending on the thickness of the paper you use, the following restrictions may
apply to paper widths.

Note that the maximum roll diameters are provided below when the optional large diam-
eter roll paper holder unit (RHU-T500) is used.

Notes:
1. The maximum roll diameter specifications when using the optional large diameter roll
paper holder RHU-T500 is our recommended value for the setup layout dimension. To use
the large diameter roll paper in a layout other than recommended, there is the possibility
of paper conveyance problems occurring. Therefore, when determining the setup layout
and the maximum roll diameter to be used, carefully consider the precautions provided in
this manual.
2. When using the optional large roll paper holder unit (RHU-T500) with the horizontal or ver-
tical layouts, it is necessary to switch from the damper roller A unit installed on the printer
to the optional damper roller B unit (DRU-T500B).
Note that paper conveyance problems may occur if the printer is operated with incorrect
settings.

Notes:
1. The tolerance value of the roll paper shaft core (paper tube) varies according to the thick-
ness of the paper that you use.
2. When using paper that is outside of the above specification ranges, paper jams may
occur.
3. The shaft core material should be made of paper. If a plastic paper tube is used for the
core material, the roll paper holder will be worn causing the core to come off of the holder.
