8.1 Tools, Servicing Aids
– Socket, T27x125 – 0812 542 2104 or equivalent
– Torque wrench – 5910 890 0302 or equivalent
– Screwdriver, T27x200 – 5910 890 2415 or equivalent
– Punch-down tool – 5910 890 4000
– Flat nose side cutting pliers
– STIHL OH 723 press fluid – 0781 957 9000
8.2 Removing Filter Housing and Carburetor
N Preparations, @ 3.1.
N Remove the filter cover, @ 7.1.
N Remove the rewind starter, @ 6.2.
N Remove the shroud, @ 7.4.
N Take wiring harness (15) out of the guides.
N Take out the screw (4).
N Take out the screws (3).
N Take out the screws (2).
N Remove the filter housing (9) together with the
carburetor (7).
N Pull the throttle cable (11) out of the guides in the filter
housing (9).
N Disconnect throttle cable (11) from carburetor (7).
N Pull the throttle cable (14) out of the guides in the filter
housing (9).
N Pull the fuel hoses (12 and 14) off the carburetor.
N Pull the fuel hose (13) off the fuel pump (5).
N Remove the carburetor (7) from the filter housing (9).
N Pull the impulse hose (16) off the carburetor (7).
N Remove the gasket (6).
N Pry out the grommet (8).
8.3 Installing Filter Housing and Carburetor
N Fit the grommet (8).
N Insert the gasket (5).
N Position the carburetor (7) against the filter housing
(9) so that the connector (arrow) engages the
grommet (8) and the screw holes line up.
N Insert the screws (2).
