12.1 Tools, Servicing Aids
– Socket, T27x125 – 0812 542 2104 or equivalent
– Torque wrench – 5910 890 0302 or equivalent
– Screwdriver, T27x200 – 5910 890 2415 or equivalent
– Screwdriver, 8x200 – 5910 890 2420 or equivalent
– Feeler gauge – 5910 893 6400 or equivalent
– Socket, 16 mm, long
12.2 Checking, Adjusting Valve Clearance
Check or adjust valve clearance only when the engine is
cold.
N Preparations, @ 3.1.
N Remove the rewind starter, @ 6.2.
N Remove the spark plug (1).
N Unscrew the screw (3) and remove it with the
cover (2).
N Take out the screw (4).
N Remove the sealing ring (5).
N Remove the valve cover (6).
N Remove the gasket (7).
N Rotate the flywheel (9) so that the mark (arrow) points
to the center of the short arm (arrow) of the ignition
module and the rocker arms do not move in the
process.
N If the rocker arms move when the flywheel (9) is
rotated: Turn the flywheel (9) one more revolution.
