11 Assembling the Trimmer / Brushcutter
► Position the unit so that you are facing the underside of
the deflector and the drive shaft is pointed upwards.
► Slip the thrust plate(4) onto the drive shaft(5), keeping
the side of the thrust plate with the smaller diameter facing
upwards toward the FixCut 31-2 mowing head(3).
► Insert the stop pin(6) in the hole in the gearbox and rotate
the drive shaft until the stop pin slips into position and
blocks the rotation of the drive shaft.
► Place the mowing head directly on top of the thrust plate,
so that the collarof the thrust plate(4) engages to the
mowing head's mounting hole.
► Slip the thrust washer (2) onto the drive shaft. Keep the
arched side facing up and the flat side facing towards the
FixCut 31-2 mowing head.
► Screw on the nut (1) counterclockwise and tighten it down
until the mowing head is properly and securely attached.
► Remove the stop pin from the hole in the gearbox.
NOTICE
Using the trimmer with overly long trimmer line increases the
load on the motor and reduces its operating speed. This may
result in overheating and damage to important components.
NOTICE
After mounting or removing the cutting attachment, always
remove the stop pin used to block the drive shaft.
