– Remove chain sprocket cover
and cutting attachment – b 5.1
: Push stud puller 5910 893 0501
(1) over the collar stud as far as it
will go. Use a 15 mm wrench to
unscrew the collar stud counter-
clockwise.

Reassemble in the reverse
sequence.
– Before installing, coat thread of
collar stud with LOCTITE –
b 16.
– Fit the collar stud and tighten it
down firmly – b 3.5
Reassemble all other parts in the
reverse sequence.
Always check and, if necessary,
repair the fuel system, carburetor,
air filter and ignition system before
looking for faults on the engine.

Only machines with spark
arresting screen
: Take out the screw (1).
: Remove the spark arresting
screen (2) and clean or replace it
if necessary.

: Pry out the plugs (arrows).

: Take out the screws (arrows).
– Remove the muffler.

: Remove the gasket (1) and heat
shield (2).
– Clean the sealing faces.
Reassemble in the reverse
sequence.

: Fit the heat shield (2) in position.
: Install the new gasket (1) so that
its bead (A) faces outwards.
– Fit the muffler.
– Tighten down the screws firmly –
b 3.5
