.1 DIMENSIONS AND CERTIFICATION
Before connecting the chimney, make sure that the fireplace is in its final
position and that it is level (Refer to page 37 if necessary).
Having previously attached an anchor plate to the insulated chimney box
with a first chimney section (See page 34), finalize the chimney connection
by following the procedure on the next page.
Calculate the required chimney length according to the information on this
page and the next one, make sure you have all the required components.
Use only an insulated chimney that complies with UL-103HT or ULC-S629
standards. For more information, contact your local fire department before
beginning your project.

The chimney height must be between 15 feet
minimum and 45 feet maximum from the
bottom of the appliance to below the rain cap.
Chimney Length
To calculate the number of chimney sections
required, start counting from the anchor plate.
Mesure its location from (B) under the unit or
from (C) the bottom of the the opening.

NOTE
• Do not connect the appliance to a chimney that is already connected
and used by another appliance. A chimney used as an outlet for a
fireplace may not be used for more than one appliance.
• Do not cut trusses, rafters or ceiling joints without consulting a building
official to ensure that structural integrity is not compromised.
• It is recommended but not mandatory that a straight section of
chimney be installed between the unit and an offset.
