One solution is to set up two different tracking data streams on the Follower system where Follower will
send the same data to the same destination IP address but on 2 different ports.
Render engine software and Data Recorder app cannot simultaneously use the same port for
receiving tracking data on the same workstation (same network adapter).
Example:
Follower
Source IP: 10.10.10.10
Destination IP (engine): 10.10.10.11
Port: 6301
Port: 6302
Render Engine:
IP 10.10.10.11
will receive tracking data
on port 6301
Data Recorder:
IP 10.10.10.11
will receive tracking data
on port 6302
The other solution is using 2 separate workstations (network adapters) for the Render engine software and
Data Recorder app.
Follower should be connected to any network switch as well as 2 mentioned workstations, on the Follower
side the destination IP address should be set up to broadcast mode, and the workstation's IP addresses
should be configured to be on the same subnet. There is no particular setup on the switch side. In this case
only 1 tracking data stream is needed to be set up on the Follower side as both workstations are listening
to the same data stream.
Example:
Follower
Source IP: 10.10.10.10
Destination IP (engine): 10.10.10.255
Port: 6301
Render Engine:
IP 10.10.10.11
will receive tracking data
on port 6301
Data Recorder:
IP 10.10.10.12
will receive tracking data
on port 6301
This example is for the default subnet: 24
If you are on a network with a different subnet, the broadcast address might be different.
